Central Florida Soap Box Derby has
received the “Champs Choice Award”
for the Best Race City the past 6 years!

The Central Florida Soap Box Derby conducts
rallies from August through May and is open
to boys and girls ages 8 to 17 years. Points
are awarded at each race and drivers with
the most points at the end of the year will go
to Akron, Ohio along with Local Champs to
compete in the “All American Race” held in
July. Derby Park is the only one of its kind in
the Southeastern United States.

All American Soap Box Derby
Labeled "The Greatest Amateur Racing
Event in the World" This is a youth gravity
racing program for boys and girls ages 8
thru 17 years old. The goals of the Soap
Box Derby program have not changed
since it began in 1934 to promote families
working together, to teach children some
basic skills of workmanship along with the
spirit of competition and the perseverance
to continue a project to completion. The
Central Florida Soap Box Derby has been
featured on Nickelodeon, TBS, ABC,
heralded three World Champs in three
years and Sanford has the only Derby Track
